Regret is a slippery slope. It can lead you down a rabbit hole of negativity and despair; it can bring back thoughts and feelings of things you have already put in the past, and frankly is not helpful.
We have all done things we have regretted and have dealt with the feelings that come from those things or events, so why dwell on negativity?
Think about it; how many times have you actually felt better after dwelling on past mistakes? Dwelling on your past mistakes, regret, things you should have said or done isn’t good for you at all; in fact, it’s the emotional equivalent of eating raw chicken or undercooked pork: you’re going to get sick every time!
If you have ever studied the Law of Attraction you’ll realize that dwelling on regret brings more feelings of it, so why would you do that?
Learn from the past? Of course!
Don’t make the same mistakes again and even share your experiences and lessons learned with others? Absolutely!!
Learn from your past experiences, and allow yourself to move on and put those things behind you.
I’m choosing to think about the future and the opportunities ahead.
